The Gospel

By this gospel you are saved, if you hold firmly to the word I preached to you. Otherwise, you have believed in vain. For what I received I passed on to you as of first importance: that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures. 1 Corinthians 15:2-4
On this Thanksgiving Day, we can give God thanks for all He has done for us, even in this tumultuous year 2020. We can always thank God for His son Jesus Christ. Sometimes in sharing the Good News of Jesus, we make the gospel more complicated than it is. The Apostle Paul succinctly presents the gospel in one sentence. Sometimes simple is better. Sometimes less is more.
