In this episode of Ventura Lighthouse Church’s HIVE series – we look at what it means to be a regular honey bee. Did you know that the regular honey bee has multiple jobs in its lifetime in the Hive? And each time it changes jobs its brain chemistry changes for the next thing it’s enabled to do. Equally, God has given each of us in the church many gifts to do His good works for the kingdom. And equally, He will transform and renew our minds for the next thing He’s calling us to for that kingdom.

What is the Holy Spirit transforming or renewing in you for what’s next?

To follow along with the teaching:

Romans 12:1-2 (NIV),

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
Romans 12:3-6a ,

“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he out to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith. For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are ONE body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us USE THEM..”

Ephesians 2:10,

“For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”

Transformed: to make a thorough or dramatic change in form, appearance, or character of.

Renewal: an instance of resuming an activity or state after an interruption; either at the same level or a different one.

(2 Cor 3:17-18) :

“Now the Lord is the Spirit; and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with unveiled face, beholding as in a  mirror the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from glory to glory, just as by the Spirit of the Lord.”

Romans 12:4, 5

“For as we have many members in one body, but all the members do not have the same function, so we, being many, are ONE body in Christ, and individually members of one another. Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us USE THEM..”
