Living Stones Offer Spiritual Sacrifices

As you come to him, the living Stone–rejected by humans but chosen by God and precious to him–you also, like living stones, are being built into a spiritual house to be a holy priesthood, offering spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ. 1 Peter 2:4-5

God is building a spiritual house, a spiritual temple, using living stones who come to Jesus, the ultimate living stone. Christians are the living stones God uses to build this spiritual temple. We live because we are connected to the ultimate living stone who is the source of life. When we are connected to Jesus and are built upon Him as our foundation we can offer up spiritual sacrifices pleasing to God through Jesus Christ.
