Has God spoken to you, perhaps it was many years ago, but it has not happened, yet. You may have given up on it, or pushed it into the recesses of your mind and basically forgotten about it. Perhaps it was a prophetic word spoken over you, or a calling into a new job or ministry (these are the same things job and ministry), or to move to a new land. But time has passed and either nothing has happened that you can see or you stopped pursuing it. After 24 years God returns to Abram again to renew His covenant with Abram, that he would be a great nation and that all peoples will be blessed through him. Abraham, old and childless believed God, despite everything to this point would indicate it was impossible. Still Abraham trusted God and believed, and it was credited to him as righteousness. If a thousand years is as a day for God, the 24 years Abraham has waited equates to about 35 minutes to God. We know what God did in keeping His promise. The Jewish nation, the resurrected Lord and Savior Jesus, are just two of the fruits of His promise because Abraham believed. Can you keep going for a half an hour? Keep running the race. God’s is still working in your life.
