Day 3: The Parts We Do Not See

On the contrary, those parts of the body that seem to be weaker are indispensable, and the parts that we think are less honorable we treat with special honor. And the parts that are unpresentable are treated with special modesty. — 1 Corinthians 12:22-23 (NIV)

1 Corinthians 12:22-24

Paul says the parts that seem weaker are indispensable. The people who serve behind the scenes. The ones who show up early and stay late. The ones who pray when nobody is watching. In the world, visibility equals value. In the kingdom, faithfulness equals value. Do not measure your importance by how many people see what you do.

Prayer

Jesus, help me serve faithfully even when nobody is watching. Teach me that the hidden work matters just as much as the visible work.
