Lighthouse 805 is a Jesus-centered Christian church in Ventura where people can come as they are, grow in faith, and be welcomed like family.
A church family doing life together in Ventura.
We are here to love Jesus, love people, and help our city know His hope. Our heart is to be a church where people grow deeper in faith, build real relationships, and shine the love of Jesus in everyday life.
We know visiting church can feel intimidating, especially if you are new to faith, coming back after time away, or simply unsure where you belong. We want Lighthouse 805 to be a place where you feel welcomed, seen, and loved from the moment you arrive.
Church is not just an event to attend. It is a family to belong to. That is why we care about Sundays, small groups, prayer, and the everyday relationships that help faith grow strong.
Come Visit Us
We believe the Bible is true, Jesus changes lives, and the Holy Spirit is active today. We believe Jesus is Savior, Healer, Baptizer, and Coming King, and we want everything we do to stay rooted in Him.
Lighthouse 805 is part of the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel, and we gladly stand in that tradition while serving our local community here in Ventura.
Our gatherings follow the pattern of the early church in Acts 2:42: the apostles' teaching, fellowship, breaking of bread, and prayer. When we gather, we make room for the Word of God, worship, prayer, and shared encouragement as a church family. We believe God still speaks, still heals, and still meets people in real ways.
Learn About Our FoundationThree people with one heartbeat: seeing you grow closer to Jesus and find your place in God's family.
Matt and Patti lead Lighthouse 805 as co-pastors, teaching and shepherding together. Matt graduated from Life Pacific University and loves digging deep into the Word, finding creative ways to serve and worship Jesus. He's also a coffee enthusiast, a Marvel fan, and loves firing up the BBQ. Patti is an artist at heart. She loves Disney, matcha, a good book, and expressing her love for Jesus through creativity and service. Together they're passionate about seeing Ventura come to know Jesus and find their place in His family.
Nekia brings a deep heart for hospitality, discipline, and community building to everything she does. Known by many as Chef Nekia, she believes the table is where life happens, it is the great equalizer, a bridge builder. She has shaped her life and ministry around gathering people together, intentionally crafting sacred spaces where everyone truly belongs. Her vision is simple: when we sit at the table together, we are on the same level. Food breaks down walls, opens doors, and makes room for authentic, life-changing connection.
Much like executing a world-class meal, building a strong community requires precise timing, deep discipline, and collaborative work. This same intentionality carries into how she leads and serves the church. To Nekia, “Disciple is just a long obedience in the same direction.” This powerful truth guides how she views our relationship with faith. She deeply cherishes the discipleship relationship, always seeking creative ways to pass along what God is teaching her every day to anyone ready to listen.
