Day 7: Trusting the One Who Holds It All

Why Isn't God Answering Me? · Living With Wisdom · July 25, 2026

Scripture
Who but God goes up to heaven and comes back down? Who holds the wind in his fists? Who wraps up the oceans in his cloak? Who has created the whole wide world? What is his name — and his son's name? Tell me if you know! — Proverbs 30:4 (NLT)
Proverbs 30:4

Agur ends his questions with the most important one: Who holds the wind in His fists? Who wraps up the oceans in His cloak? The God who holds the wind and the oceans also holds your situation. There are things in your life right now with no clear answer. No visible resolution. No explanation yet. But the One who holds the wind in His fists has not let go of you. Instead of praying this week for God to show up, practice praying thankful prayers. Thank Jesus that He has already been there. Thank Him that He was walking with you before you recognized Him. Thank Him that He is already in the middle of what you cannot see yet. Wisdom is not having all the answers. Wisdom is trusting the One who does.

Prayer

God, I choose today to trust You with everything I cannot see. Thank You that You hold my life in Your hands the same way You hold the wind and the oceans. I do not need all the answers — I just need You.
