Day 7: Who God Says You Are

Why Don't I Feel Good Enough? · Living With Wisdom · June 20, 2026

Scripture
But you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession, that you may declare the praises of him who called you out of darkness into his wonderful light. — 1 Peter 2:9 (NIV)
1 Peter 2:9

Peter piles up four identity statements: chosen people, royal priesthood, holy nation, God's special possession. Each one is a phrase God used for Israel in the Old Testament, now applied to every believer. You are not an outsider trying to earn your way in. You are chosen. You are royal. You are holy. You are His. The question is not whether you are enough — it is whether you will believe what God says about you and live like it is true.

Prayer

Lord, I am Your chosen possession. Help me stop living like an orphan and start living like the child of God that I am. I believe what You say about me.
