Why Does Fear Stop Me? · With Authority · September 19, 2026
Gideon is hiding, threshing wheat in a winepress, certain he is the weakest person in the weakest family. But God does not greet him by his fear — God greets him by his calling: "Mighty hero, the Lord is with you!" Then God sends him out in the strength he has. Gideon was not weak because he was afraid. He was ineffective because fear had moved him into hiding. The same can be true for us — fear hides us, but God speaks to who He made us to be. What is God's calling over your life? He is not waiting for you to feel strong. He is telling you, like Gideon, to go with the strength you have.
Lord, I hear You calling me out of hiding like You called Gideon. You call me strong even when I feel weak — go with me and give me strength I don't have on my own.
