Day 5: Be Still and Know

Why Am I So Overwhelmed? · Living With Wisdom · June 13, 2026

Scripture
He says, “Be still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.” — Psalm 46:10 (NIV)
Psalm 46:10

The Hebrew word for be still is raphah — it means to let go, to sink down, to be weak, to become helpless before God. This is not a command to meditate. It is a command to stop trying to be God. Stop trying to control what you cannot control. Stop trying to fix what only He can fix. Let go of the illusion that you are holding everything together. You are not. But He is.

Prayer

God, I let go. I stop trying to hold everything together and I choose to trust that You are God and I am not.
