Day 3: The Yoke That Fits

Jesus does not say get your life together and then come to Me. He says come to Me — weary, burdened, overwhelmed — and I will give you rest. A yoke was a wooden beam that connected two oxen so they could pull a plow together. It was custom-fitted to each animal so it would not rub or chafe. Jesus says His yoke is easy and His burden is light because He has already fitted it to you. He is not adding to your load — He is pulling it with you.
