Day 2: Cast Your Cares on Him

The Greek word for cast is epiripsantes — the same word used when the disciples threw their cloaks onto the donkey for Jesus to ride. It means to throw something onto something else with force and intention. Peter does not say gently place your anxiety on God. He says throw it on Him. Why? Because He cares for you. Not because He tolerates you. Not because you earned it. Because He genuinely cares. The weight you have been carrying is something He actually wants to carry for you.
