Day 7: Living With Wisdom

Why Am I Always Stressed About Money? · Living With Wisdom · July 18, 2026

Scripture
Whoever brings blessing will be enriched, and one who waters will himself be watered. — Proverbs 11:25 (ESV). For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. — Matthew 6:21 (NIV)
Proverbs 11:25, Matthew 6:19-21

Jesus talked about money more than any other subject. Not because God needs it, but because He knows where the human heart gets pulled. The grip on money is usually not greed — it is fear. Fear of not having enough. Fear of going back to a hard season. But wisdom says: a closed fist cannot receive anything new. The widow in the temple is the answer to the question how much should I give. Not a percentage. The answer is: give from what you have on your heart to give with trust, as an act of worship. As you prepare for tomorrow, ask yourself: Am I holding my resources with an open hand or a closed fist? Am I tipping God or investing in His Kingdom? The goal is not just to give. The goal is to live with wisdom — trusting God with everything, because He is the one who provides it all.

Prayer

Lord, I want to live with wisdom in every area of my life, including my finances. Help me hold everything with an open hand, trusting that You are my provider. I choose to invest in what lasts forever.
