Day 4: Called Before You Feel Ready

Who Is Driving My Life? · With Authority · September 12, 2026

Scripture
The Lord replied, "Don't say, 'I'm too young,' for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you. And don't be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken!" — Jeremiah 1:7-8 (NLT)
Jeremiah 1:7-8

Moses told God he could not speak well enough. Gideon thought he was the weakest person in the weakest family. Jeremiah said he was too young. Peter denied Jesus three times. Yet God still called, used, restored, and sent every one of them. The pattern runs all the way through Scripture: God does not wait for perfect people before He calls them. The authority is not in the disciple — the authority is in Jesus. Some of us are waiting to feel ready before we obey. But Jesus does not say, "When you feel ready, go." He says, "All authority is Mine. Therefore, go." If you feel too young, too weak, too broken, or too unqualified today — you are in good company. Go anyway, because He goes with you.

Prayer

God, I don't feel ready. I feel too young, too weak, too unqualified. But Your authority is bigger than my inadequacy. Send me — and go with me.
