Day 7: Strength for the Next Step

Where Is Jesus When I'm Anxious and Depressed? · Walking With Faith · August 15, 2026

Scripture
Then he said to them, "My soul is very sorrowful, even to death; remain here, and watch with me." — Matthew 26:38 (ESV)
Matthew 26:38

Jesus understands overwhelming sorrow. He did not hide it. He named it, prayed honestly, and asked His closest friends to stay near Him. So when you pray, 'Jesus, are You with me in this?' the answer is always yes. He is our Savior who literally suffered grief, fear, betrayal, and loneliness. Jesus may not give you every answer today, but He will give you what you need for your next step. As you prepare for tomorrow, do not try to fix your entire life. Choose one faith anchor each day — one truth from Scripture to memorize, one person to be honest with. Rest with Jesus, walk in prayer, consider counseling, journal, and worship.

Prayer

Jesus, be with me in this. Help me tell the truth. Help me receive help. Give me strength for the next step.
