Where Is Jesus When I'm Anxious and Depressed? · Walking With Faith · August 15, 2026
The psalmist names what he feels, brings it to God, and speaks truth back into it. Your emotions are like a check-engine light: you should not ignore it, but you should not let it drive the car. A warning light tells you something needs attention; it does not tell you exactly what the problem is or what the solution must be. Anxiety or depression may be telling you: you are carrying too much, you are isolated, you need help, you need to slow down. But anxiety or depression does not get to define your future. Prayer matters, and God heals — but faith can also mean talking to a counselor, seeing a doctor, taking medication when appropriate, and letting people help carry what you were never meant to carry alone.
Father, help me name what I really feel and bring it to You. Help me know what needs attention — and give me wisdom to receive the help You place in front of me.
