Day 7: Hope in the Silence

Welcoming the King With Hope · With Hope · March 28, 2026

Scripture
I wait for the Lord, my whole being waits, and in his word I put my hope. I wait for the Lord more than watchmen wait for the morning, more than watchmen wait for the morning. — Psalm 130:5-6 (NIV)
Psalm 130:5-6

Saturday between Palm Sunday and Easter is the silence. The crowd had shouted. The donkey had carried Him. But now everything was quiet. The religious leaders were plotting. The disciples were confused. It looked like hope had died. But Saturday is not the end of the story. Sometimes you are in a Saturday season — waiting, wondering, not seeing what God is doing. But Sunday is coming. The silence does not mean God is absent. It means He is working.

Prayer

God, when everything is quiet and I cannot see what You are doing, help me wait with hope. I trust that Sunday is coming.
