Day 4: Expectations vs. Reality

The crowd on Palm Sunday had expectations. Jesus did not meet them. They wanted a warrior. They got a servant. They wanted a throne. They got a cross. God's ways are not our ways. He does not work the way we expect. When Jesus does not meet your expectations, you have a choice: get disappointed and walk away, or trust that His ways are higher than yours. Disappointment often comes from assuming you know what is best. Surrender comes from admitting you do not.
