Day 2: Save Us Now

Welcoming the King With Hope · With Hope · March 28, 2026

Scripture
The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted, 'Hosanna to the Son of David!' 'Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!' 'Hosanna in the highest heaven!' — Matthew 21:9 (NIV)
Matthew 21:6-9

The word 'Hosanna' means 'save us now.' The crowd was desperate. They wanted rescue, and they wanted it immediately. There is something honest about that cry. You do not need to pretend you have it all together when you come to Jesus. You can cry out 'Save me now' — in your mess, your confusion, your desperation. Jesus did not reject their cry then, and He will not reject yours now. But He will save you in a way that is deeper than what you are asking for.

Prayer

Jesus, I cry out to You today: Hosanna! Save me now. Save me from my sin, my fear, my doubts. I trust You to save me in Your way.
