Day 6: Hope in the Word

Walking With Hope · With Hope · April 11, 2026

Scripture
You are my refuge and my shield; I have put my hope in your word. — Psalm 119:114 (NIV)
Psalm 119:114

The psalmist put his hope in God's word. Not in his feelings. Not in his circumstances. Not in what other people said. In the Word of God. The Bible is not just a book of ancient stories — it is the living, active, unchanging Word of the God who cannot lie. When you put your hope in God's Word, you are putting your hope on solid ground. Every promise He has made is guaranteed by His character. If you need hope today, go back to what God has said. His Word is your refuge and your shield.

Prayer

God, I put my hope in Your Word. When my feelings change and my circumstances shift, Your Word remains the same. Let it be my refuge.
