Day 3: Anchored in the Storm

Walking With Hope · With Hope · April 11, 2026

Scripture
We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain. — Hebrews 6:19 (NIV)
Hebrews 6:19

An anchor does not stop the wind or calm the waves. It holds the ship in place so it does not crash against the rocks. Hope works the same way. It does not prevent storms from coming into your life. But it holds you steady when the storm rages. Your hope enters 'the inner sanctuary behind the curtain' — it is connected to the presence of God Himself. That is why it is firm and secure. Your hope is not tied to something temporary. It is tied to the eternal, unchanging God.

Prayer

Jesus, when the storms of life rage around me, hold me steady. Let my hope in You be my anchor, firm and secure.
