Day 1: The God of Hope

This verse is a prayer Paul prayed over the Roman believers. He called God 'the God of hope.' Not just a God who gives hope, but the God whose very nature is hope. And Paul prayed that they would be filled with joy and peace — not as they got their act together, but as they trusted. Trust is the channel through which hope flows. The more you trust, the more hope fills you. And the goal is not just to have enough hope for yourself — it is to overflow so that others are blessed by it.
