Day 6: Tabitha Changed Lives by Making Clothes

Use What You Got · Special Messages · October 18, 2026

Scripture
There was a believer in Joppa named Tabitha. She was always doing kind things for others and helping the poor. About this time she became ill and died... The room was filled with widows who were weeping and showing him the coats and other clothes Dorcas had made for them. — Acts 9:36, 39 (NLT)
Acts 9:36-39

No stage, no title, no sermon — just coats. Tabitha used her resources and her hands to love the poor, and when she died the widows held up the evidence. Ordinary faithfulness filled a room with tears. You don't need something spectacular to be significant in the Kingdom. Use what you've got: cook the meal, sew the coat, open the home, give the ride, pay the bill. Heaven keeps track of what love makes.

Prayer

Lord, like Tabitha, I want my everyday kindness to point to You. Show me one practical thing I can make, give, or do for someone in need.
