Day 3: Patience That Saves People

Scripture

The Lord isn't really being slow about his promise, as some people think. No, he is being patient for your sake. He does not want anyone to be destroyed, but wants everyone to repent. And remember, our Lord's patience gives people time to be saved. — 2 Peter 3:9, 15 (NLT)

2 Peter 3:9, 15

People make fun of Jesus' return taking so long — where is He? Peter answers: God's delay is patience and mercy, giving all of us time to get our acts together and use our time during His patience. Our God's patience is literally more people getting saved. Every extra day is another opportunity for someone to repent. Don't waste the patience you've been given — spend it on the Kingdom today.

Prayer

Lord, thank You for being patient with me. Teach me to use Your patience the way You do — to help more people get saved.
