Day 3: I Myself Will Search

Scripture

For this is what the Sovereign Lord says: I myself will search and find my sheep. I will be like a shepherd looking for his scattered flock. I will find my sheep and rescue them from all the places where they were scattered on that dark and cloudy day. I will bring them back home... I will search for my lost ones who strayed away, and I will bring them safely home again. I will bandage the injured and strengthen the weak. — Ezekiel 34:11-12, 16 (NLT)

Ezekiel 34:11-16

God does not leave His sheep scattered. He says it Himself: I myself will search, I will find, I will rescue, I will bring them home, I will feed them, I will bandage and strengthen them. We get to serve Jesus by bringing Him into the lives around us — doing what this passage says He will do. When you step toward someone who is hurting, you are joining the Shepherd in His own search-and-rescue mission.

Prayer

Shepherd, thank You for searching for me. Let me join Your rescue — show me one wandering person to move toward with Your love this week.
