Day 7: The Cord of Three Strands

Not Meant to Walk Alone · With One Another · April 25, 2026

Scripture
Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken. — Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NIV)
Ecclesiastes 4:12

The picture of a cord of three strands is powerful. Two people bound together with God twisted in the middle. Three strands are stronger than two because God is the one holding it all together. Your relationships will face pressure. They will be tested. But when God is the strand running through the middle, that cord holds. As you prepare for tomorrow, ask yourself: who is in your cord? Are you actively investing in the relationships God has placed in your life?

Prayer

Jesus, weave Your presence into my relationships. Let the cords of my life be bound together with You as the strand that holds everything together.
