Day 4: The God of All Comfort

My Life Is Falling Apart, What Do I Do? · With One Another · May 30, 2026

Scripture
Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God. — 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (NIV)
2 Corinthians 1:3-4

Paul calls God the 'Father of compassion and God of all comfort.' Not some comfort. All comfort. Whatever you are going through, God has comfort for that specific pain. And here is the part that changes everything: He comforts you so you can comfort others. Your suffering is not wasted. The comfort you receive becomes a resource you can offer to someone else going through the same thing.

Prayer

Father of compassion, comfort me in my trouble. And then show me who I can comfort with the comfort I have received from You.
