Day 5: Each According to Their Ability

Scripture

Again, it will be like a man going on a journey, who called his servants and entrusted his wealth to them. To one he gave five bags of gold, to another two bags, and to another one bag, each according to his ability. — Matthew 25:14-15 (NIV)

Matthew 25:14-15

The master gave each servant according to their ability. God knows what you can handle. He knows your capacity. He is not asking you to be someone else or to have someone else's gifts. He is asking you to be faithful with what He has given you. Do not compare your portion to someone else's. Faithfulness with one is just as valuable as faithfulness with five.

Prayer

Father, help me be faithful with what You have given me. Free me from comparison and give me contentment in my calling.
