Day 2: Work Is Not a Curse

This is before sin enters the world. Work is not a curse; it is part of our calling. Before Adam ever sinned, he was given something to build and something to guard. Work is not just what you do for money. Work is anything God has entrusted you to cultivate and to guard. As you begin your week, remember that the tasks in front of you — your job, your home, your projects, your responsibilities — were part of God's design from the very beginning. He put Adam in the garden to work it and take care of it. He has put you where you are for the same reason.
