Day 3: Your Calling Does Not Change

How Do I Follow Jesus When I Feel Too Busy? · Walking With Faith · August 22, 2026

Scripture
Now listen to me, and let me give you a word of advice, and may God be with you. You should continue to be the people’s representative before God, bringing their disputes to him. Teach them God’s decrees, and give them his instructions. Show them how to conduct their lives. — Exodus 18:19-20 (NLT)
Exodus 18:19-20

Notice what delegation does not mean for Moses: it does not mean abandoning his calling. He still represents the people before God, teaches them God’s ways, and shows them how to live. What changes is that he stops personally handling every disagreement and every decision. The enemy loves keeping us busy and distracted by convincing us to do slightly more than what God actually asked us to do. Faith lets Jesus edit your responsibilities — not delete them, but edit them down to what is truly yours.

Prayer

Lord, give me clarity about what You have actually asked me to carry. Let go of my grip on everything else, and help me trust You with the difference.
