How Do I Bring Jesus Into My Family Drama? · Walking With Faith · August 8, 2026
The father does not deny the younger brother's sin. But he refuses to let sin become the younger brother's only identity. Pain changes how we see people. When we are hurt, we can reduce someone to the worst thing they did. Family pain makes us remember what people did. Grace helps us remember who they are. This does not mean pretending harm never happened. It means we do not let bitterness become the thing that defines us. Today, ask God to help you see the people who have hurt you the way He sees them — not ignoring what they did, but refusing to reduce them to it.
Father, I don't want bitterness to define me. Help me remember who people are, not just what they did. Give me Your eyes for the ones who have hurt me most.
