Day 5: Why Are You Afraid?

Jesus asks a penetrating question. Why are you afraid? The disciples had seen Him heal the sick, cast out demons, and forgive sins. They had witnessed His power. And yet, in the storm, they forgot. They were controlled by their circumstances instead of their faith. Jesus is asking you the same question. Why are you afraid? Not 'why is the storm here?' but 'why are you afraid?' Because if He is in the boat, fear does not make sense. Your faith is bigger than your fear — if you will remember who is with you.
