Day 3: Give God the Full Glory

Scripture

Peter saw his opportunity and addressed the crowd. “People of Israel,” he said, “what is so surprising about this? And why stare at us as though we had made this man walk by our own power or godliness?” — Acts 3:12 (NLT)

Acts 3:12

Peter knew the temptation better than we do. The devil sinned by wanting to be recognized and worshiped, and he wants us to fall into the same sin — quietly assuming our prayers work because of us. Peter redirects the whole room. When you pray, pray like Peter: not pointing at yourself, but pointing everyone toward Jesus.

Prayer

Father, search my heart for any place I want the credit. Take the glory off my name and set it on Jesus. Let my prayer say “Look at Him,” not “look at me.”
