Can Jesus Actually Break Addictions and Curses? · Walking With Faith · August 29, 2026
The most important thing Christians often miss is this: when things are removed from our lives, we need to replace what was removed. Otherwise we leave the hole open, and satan will slither back in and convince us to put back the old familiar stone. In Leviticus, the old contaminated stones, walls, and beams are replaced with brand new ones - a rebuilt house. This is what Jesus and the Holy Spirit do in our lives. We have a new life from the blood of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit is continually at work, replacing the old contamination with new fruit: love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. So ask yourself: when something is removed from my life, what am I replacing it with? Choose one fruit of the Spirit to dwell on this week, and let the Spirit rebuild your heart.
Holy Spirit, rebuild my heart. Replace what has been removed with Your fruit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Make me new.
