Day 4: Confess to a Righteous Friend

Can Jesus Actually Break Addictions and Curses? · Walking With Faith · August 29, 2026

Scripture
Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results. - James 5:16 (NLT)
James 5:16

Bringing our stuff to Jesus is essential, but He also calls us to confess to each other and pray for each other so we may be healed. The enemy thrives in isolation and silence - he wants the mildew hidden in the dark where it can grow. But when you bring up what you are going through, make sure it is with a righteous person - a trusted brother or sister in Christ who will speak truth and pray with you, not someone who will diminish your struggle or convince you it is okay to stay stuck. Healing happens in community. Today, prayerfully consider one person you can trust and open up to.

Prayer

Lord, give me courage to confess to a trusted brother or sister in Christ. Lead me to someone righteous who will pray with me and help me move forward, not keep me stuck.
