Day 3: Our Great High Priest

Can Jesus Actually Break Addictions and Curses? · Walking With Faith · August 29, 2026

Scripture
So then, since we have a great High Priest who has entered heaven, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to what we believe. This High Priest of ours understands our weaknesses, for he faced all of the same testings we do, yet he did not sin. So let us come boldly to the throne of our gracious God. There we will receive his mercy, and we will find grace to help us when we need it most. - Hebrews 4:14-16 (NLT)
Hebrews 4:14-16

The priest in Leviticus was a picture pointing forward to Jesus. When God said, "Go to the priest," He was showing us the way to run to Jesus. And Jesus is not a distant or untouchable priest - He understands our weaknesses because He faced every testing we do, yet without sin. Because of Him, we can come boldly to the throne of grace, not hiding in shame but confident we will receive mercy and find help when we need it most. Whatever you are hiding, you do not have to hide it from Him. He already knows. And He already went to the cross for it.

Prayer

Jesus, thank You for being my great High Priest who understands. I bring my weakness to Your throne with boldness, and I trust You for mercy and grace.
