Day 2: Junk Growing in Hidden Places

Can Jesus Actually Break Addictions and Curses? · Walking With Faith · August 29, 2026

Scripture
"When you arrive in Canaan, the land I am giving you as your own possession, I may contaminate some of the houses in your land with mildew. The owner of such a house must then go to the priest and say, 'It appears that my house has some kind of mildew.' Before the priest goes in to inspect the house, he must have the house emptied so nothing inside will be pronounced ceremonially unclean." - Leviticus 14:34-36 (NLT)
Leviticus 14:34-36

The Israelites were entering the land of promise, and God warned them there could be mildew growing in hidden places of their houses. The word tzara'at covers leprosy, mildew, mold, and defiling disease. All of us, the moment we are saved and begin living in the promises of God, can find ourselves in a similar situation - things growing in the hidden places of our lives. But notice what God does not tell them to do: He does not tell the homeowner to diagnose it, study it, or treat it himself. He tells them to go to the priest. God is saying, it is not your job to fix this alone. Bring it to Me.

Prayer

Father, empty my house. Show me the junk growing in the hidden places of my life, and help me bring it to You instead of trying to manage it alone.
