Day 2: No Impressive Resume Required

Scripture

Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, "Rulers and elders of our people, are we being questioned today because we've done a good deed for a crippled man? Do you want to know how he was healed? Let me clearly state to all of you and to all the people of Israel that he was healed by the powerful name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, the man you crucified but whom God raised from the dead. There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved." — Acts 4:8-12 (NLT)

Acts 4:8-12

Peter's resume would never have impressed the council — no seminary, no title, no pedigree. But Peter was filled with the Holy Spirit, and that changed everything. God will always speak through who He entrusts, and Jesus has entrusted you to deliver His message to your family, your coworkers, even to yourself in the mirror. You do not need a platform or a degree to point someone to the only name by which we must be saved.

Prayer

Lord, I bring You my ordinary resume. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit and speak through me. Show me who You have entrusted me to reach this week.
